WARREN - Ronald "Jay" Menhennet III, 48, of Warren, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, after a long, courageous battle with kidney failure and diabetes.
Jay was born July 26, 1965, in San Francisco, a son of Ronald J. II and Katharine Hutchin Menhennet.
He was a member of the North Mar Christian and Missionary Alliance. He loved traveling across the United States to visit family, music, coin collecting, reading history books and getting "lost" in television shows.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 17 years, Jenny (Thomas); two brothers, Brad (Missy) Menhennet of Boca Raton, Fla., and Scott Menhennet of Italy; sister, Katie (fiance Ted Brook) Krejchi of Salt Lake City, Utah; father, Ronald J. (Alda) Menhennet II of San Francisco; mother-in-law, Joyce (Ray) Buxton of Southington; father-in-law, Charles (Judy) Thomas Sr. of East Springfield, Pa.; and his loyal feline companion, Gandalf.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the North Mar Christian Alliance, 3855 E. Market St., Warren, OH 44483.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
