YOUNGSTOWN - John F. Kennedy is picking the best time of the year to be playing its best basketball.
Behind three players scoring double figures, the Eagles from Trumbull County took down Youngstown Christian, 59-31, to win its fourth-straight contest.
Kennedy jumped to a nine-point, first-quarter lead, which it extended to 32-11 at the break. In all, nine different players scored for Kennedy (6-10).
The biggest scorer for the night was James Burney, who has ignited the play of Kennedy since joining the team just a few weeks back. He scored a game-high 13 points. Zachary Usher added 11 and Isaac Carrino added 11.
Paris Bennett led Youngstown Christian with seven.
CARDINAL MOONEY 72, NILES 57: NILES - Joe Cunningham had five 3-pointers to pace the Cardinals past the host Red Dragons.
Andrew Armstrong paced Cardinal Mooney with 19 points, while Mark Handel had 13 and Marcus Penza added 11.
Marcus Hill led Niles with 19 points, while Cameron Kane added 14.
JEFFERSON 82, CHALKER 52: SOUTHINGTON - Eric Wilson had a game-high 21 points for the Wildcats, but the triple threat of the Falcons proved too much.
David Chase and James Jackson each had 14 points, while Sage Cantini added 12.
Tommy Hall put in 10 for Southington, which hosts Lordstown on Friday.
NEWTON FALLS 76, GRAND VALLEY 43: ORWELL - Chris Greathouse canned seven 3-pointers for a game-high 21 points as the Tigers rumbled past the host Mustangs.
Ozzie Hawkins added 17 points, while Jaden Walton had 16 for Newton Falls (10-8).
Jake Vormelker led Grand Valley with 13 points, while Gabe Kovats added 12.
Tuesday, Newton Falls hosts Garfield.
ALLIANCE 65, HOWLAND 48: HOWLAND - J.J. Kukura led Alliance, which won the Northeastern Buckeye Conference title on Friday, with 27 points.
The Aviators senior had 1,500 career points.
Kordelle Phillips added 12, while Dale Dickson had 10 for Alliance (17-2).
Tommy Carnifax and Reece Bogan each had 12 points for Howland (4-13).
Tuesday, Howland travels to Lakeview.
EAST LIVERPOOL 62, HUBBARD 52: HUBBARD - Kade Reynolds had 22 points to lead the Potters past the Eagles.
Austin Emmerling had 11 points, while D.J. Austin and Hayden Cunningham each had 10 for East Liverpool.
Brennan Wassil led Hubbard with 14 points, while Rocco Jones with 11.
AUSTINTOWN FITCH 51, LAKE 49: AUSTINTOWN - Jessie Driver had 25 points to lead the Falcons past the Blue Streaks.
Anthony Pangio added 10 points for Fitch (14-3).
Alex Belinsky paced Lake with 20 points, while Mitchell Spotleson with 14.
McDONALD 45, HEARTLAND CHRISTIAN 18: McDONALD - The Blue Devils started a bit slow, but bounced back in the second half to easily defeat Heartland Christian.
At the intermission, McDonald only had a 13-9 advantage on the Lions. However, the Blue Devils outscored them 32-9 in the second half.
Brenna Rupe led the McDonald charge with 17 points. Sara Joseph added 10 for the Blue Devils (2-19).
TRINITY 54, JOHN F. KENNEDY 40: WARREN - The Eagles started off slow, so despite a second-half rally, the Eagles couldn't overcome the Trojans in a North Coast League contest.
Kennedy outscored Trinity, 34-23, in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overtage the 15-point deficit it faced at the half.
Calli Kowach paced Kennedy with 21 points.
BEDFORD 46, WARREN G. HARDING 39: WARREN - Maya Bell had 17 points and 17 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to carry the Raiders past the Bearcats.
Gariana Bercheni added 10 for Harding.
Chambers paced Bedford, which outscored the Raiders 20-9 in the second quarter, with 12 points.
CANFIELD 65, UNITED LOCAL 43: CANFIELD - Erin Riser had 11 of her game-high 29 points in the first quarter as the Cardinals rolled out to a 24-11 lead over the Golden Eagles.
Rachel Tinkey added 19 points for Canfield (12-6).
Mackenzie Gatchel led United Local with 16 points.
URSULINE 41, BROOKFIELD 39: YOUNGSTOWN - Simone Comer had 21 points and was 13 of 18 from the line to lead the Irish past the Warriors.
Lauren Hawley led Brookfield (14-6) with 14 points.

LORDSTOWN 64, LaBRAE 58: LEAVITTSBURG - Sarah Cash led a trio of double-figure scorers as the Red Devils beat the Vikings.
Talia Tobin scored 14 points, while Ally Hajnosz added 13 for Lordstown.
Maddie Kiser paced LaBrae with 18 points, while Lauren Rutherford had 12 points and 12 rebounds for LaBrae.
JACKSON-MILTON 44, MINERAL RIDGE 41: MINERAL RIDGE - Madison Tomaino had 11 points to lead the Blue Jays past the Rams.
Peyton Allen and Alyssa Harkins each had 13 points for Mineral Ridge.
SOUTHEAST 60, CRESTWOOD 41: PALMYRA - Danielle Norquest had 20 points to lead the Pirates past the Red Devils.
Brittany Butcher had 12 points, while Jillian Fesemyer added 10.
Hoffman led Crestwood with 10 points.
