Crews fix water main break in Cortland
CORTLAND - Cortland Street Department crews were called out around 10:30 a.m. Sunday to North Mecca Street, between state Route 88 and West Main Street, to fix a water main break.
Reports indicate street crews spent about three hours to locate and fix the break.
Water was shut off for a short period while the main's break was fixed and was restored after 1:30 p.m.
Last week, water main breaks occurred throughout the area due to extreme cold temperatures, including in Brookfield where water boil alerts were issued for sections of Bedford Road. Today, a boil alert was issued in Campbell following a series of breaks.
