NILES - Harry V. Jannetti, 49, formerly of Union Township, passed away the afternoon of Jan. 31, 2014, at University Hospital of Cleveland.
Born in New Castle on Aug. 19, 1964, he is the son of Harry D. and Joan M. DeMatteis Jannetti, both of New Castle.
Always known as a hard worker, Harry was the owner of J & B Bi-Rite Supermarket in Warren.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Warren. Harry was a 1982 graduate of Union High School.
Harry enjoyed visiting casinos and golfing, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces, nephews and his cat, Alexander.
In addition to his parents, Harry is survived by his sisters, Susan (Tim) Sallmen of New Castle, Pa., Lynne (Lee) Ransom of Wampum, Pa., and Karen (Richard) Stewart of New Castle; nephews, Lucas, Jordan, R.J., Tim and Ryan; and nieces, Nicole, Alexa and Marina.
Harry is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Antonia and Vincent DeMatteis; and paternal grandparents, Dominick and Devina Jannetti.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St., New Castle, Pa. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Vitus Church in New Castle, Pa., officiated by the Rev. Frank Almade.
Interment will take place at Madonna Cemetery.
