SUPER BOWL SATURDAY EVENT: The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. N.W., Warren, will hold Super Bowl Saturday for children in kindergarten to sixth grades at 1 p.m. Saturday. ASSOCIATION TO MEET: The Northwest Neighborhood Association in Warren will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, 1725 Drexel Drive, Warren. Guest speaker is Michael Keys, the city's community development director. The association is collecting socks for the the Warren Family Mission and food for the church food pantry.
FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM: New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, is accepting orders for Smart Choice food from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 10 at the church. Orders will also be taken at Niles Community Services from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Feb. 10.

CHOCOLATE TASTING: Lordstown Library Branch, 1471 Salt Springs Road, will hold a Chocolate Challenge at 2:30 p.m. Monday for teens in seventh to 12th grades. Participants will be asked to try obscure chocolate and take a chocolate test. Registration is required by calling 330-824-2094.
The library will also hold Young Science Wizards at 4:30 p.m. Monday, when children in grades kindergarten to fourth will experiment with the magical world of science using hands-on activities. Registration is required.
YSU AFRICAN MARKETPLACE: To kick off the celebration of African American History Month, Youngstown State University's Africana Studies department is hosting an Afrikana Marketplace from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday in the Chestnut Room, Kilcawley Center on the YSU campus. There will be art objects, African writing and a variety of African American goods. Entertainment will be provided by the dancers of Harambee.
The event is free.
FUNDRAISER FOR CATHOLIC SCHOOL WEEK: St. Stephen School in Niles is hosting its Night at the Races on Saturday. The event will wrap up Catholic Schools Week, and is a major fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting the school.
The night will include horse races, dinner, a 50/50 drawing, and an Irish Auction. To donate items for the Irish auction, call the school at 330-652-5511.
SCHOOL CHOICE WEEK: National School Choice Week is being held in Ohio, with more than 180 events planned across the Buckeye State, in addition to 5,500 events nationwide. Gov. John Kasich proclaimed Jan. 26 to Feb. 1 as Ohio School Choice Week.
The celebration is to raise awareness of the different types of educational options available to families. National School Choice Week spotlights all types of education options for families.
