AKWATUKEE, Ariz. - Heather Marie Price Papayoti, 42, of Akwatukee, Ariz., died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014.
She was born Sept. 9, 1971, in Warren, the daughter of the late Leonard D. Price Jr. and Merial Hilty Price.
Heather attended Farmington and Bristol local schools and was a 1994 graduate of Kent State University, where she was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity.
Heather attended the Champion Christian Church and the St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Chandler, Ariz.
She was employed at the Aerospace Division of the Honeywell Corp. for 16 years.
Some of her favorite activities were golf, skiing, hiking at South Mountain, bicycling, reading mysteries and riding roller coasters.
Surviving are her husband, Hristo Papayoti, whom she married June 9, 2002, in Athens, Greece; her mother, Merial Hilty Price; mother-in-law, Olga Papayoti; brother-in-law, Basil Papayoti; sisters-in-law, Ann and Maria Papayoti; nephews, Houston and Christopher; uncle, James Hilty; aunt, Jean Hilty Stanley; several cousins; and her cocker spaniel, Morgan.
Preceding her in death were her father, Leonard D. Price Jr.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard D. Price Sr.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James C. Hilty; her aunt, Marian Price Patton; her uncle, Thomas Price; and her father-in-law, Hristo Papayoti.
A celebration of life was held Jan. 18 at the Desert Heritage Church in Mesa, Ariz., where the Rev. Kenneth Hopkins of the Champion Christian Church officiated.
"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles. Remember the happy and laughing time of bright and sunny days."
