ANDOVER - Janice Lee Slusher, 67, died at her home on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, with her family by her side.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1946, in Gary, Ind., a daughter of Mary Evelyn Green and Wallace Blake.
Janice married Lynn Melvin Slusher Sr. on Sept. 11, 1962.
She worked in production at Kennametal in Orwell for more than 25 years.
Janice enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for her family. She collected dolls, enjoyed traveling and gardening, and was a bird lover.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Lynn M. Slusher of Andover; a daughter, Deanna L. Slusher of Stroudsburg, Pa.; a son, Lynn M. Slusher Jr., formerly of Pembroke, Ky.; and four grandchildren, Evan and Camille Devaney, and Elizabeth and Emma Slusher.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Baumgardner Funeral & Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating.
Burial will follow in Sager Cemetery of Bristolville. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
