WARREN - Virginia Rowlee Huntley, 90, of Warren, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at University Hospital.
She was born June 15, 1923, in North Bloomfield, a daughter of the late Wayne E. and Grace Mitchell Rowlee. She had lived in Champion for more than 60 years.
Mrs. Huntley graduated from North Bloomfield High School and attended Spencerian Business School in Cleveland.
She worked as a secretary with Halsey W. Taylor Co. in Warren, Motorists Mutual Insurance Co. Home Office in Columbus, and the Huntley Insurance Agency of Warren.
She enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
She was a member of Champion Presbyterian Church, member of Alpha Chapter 44 Order of Eastern Star, member of PEO Sisterhood Chapter EE, charter member of Suburban Mothers OCCL, and secretary and treasurer of the North Bloomfield Cemetery Association.
Besides her two daughters, Susan E. Huntley of Hudson and Barbara H. (Harvey) Rentschler of Bryn Mawr, Pa., Virginia is survived by her granddaughter, Katharine Huntley-Bachers; sister, Edna Mae (Erv) Koch of Doylestown, Pa.; and nephew, Wayne (Lisa) Koch of Boston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Eugene V. Huntley, who passed away Feb. 23, 2011.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Champion Presbyterian Church, where the Rev. Marvin A. Barney will officiate. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the church.
Virginia will be laid to rest in Brownwood Cemetery in North Bloomfield.
