WARREN - Mindy Sierra, 33, of McDonald will spend two years in prison after she pleaded guilty this morning to charges stemming from an attempted burglary in which her accomplice was shot to death.
Trumbull Common Pleas Judge Andrew Logan sentenced Sierra to charges of attempted aggravated burglary and a reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Sierra is one of four people charged in a July 12 incident when accomplice Terry Allen was killed by a shotgun blast through the front door of the Niles-Cortland Road home of Roy Hahn, 41. Hahn was cleared by authorities.
She was accused of being involved with the planning of the burglary and dropping off three men at a Niles home which they planned to burglarize for scrap copper.
Prosecutors have said the three men and two women planned to steal copper from the home and use the proceeds to go to the Trumbull County Fair.
