McDONALD - Caroline Klenovich, 100, of McDonald, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at the Humility House in Austintown.
Caroline was born Aug. 24, 1913, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Ignatius and Maria Blazinec Simir.
She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald, the Altar and Rosary Society, Croatian Fraternal Lodge 593, and formerly of the St. George Lodge 66.
Caroline is survived by her children, Charles Klenovich of Wooster, Barbara (John) Gantar of McDonald and Carol (Louis) Morocco of McDonald, with whom she made her home; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Klenovich, whom she married on Oct. 25, 1930, and who died June 23, 1986; a brother, Charles Simir; and sister, Kathryn Dunnam.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, preceded by a 10:30 a.m. prayer service at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and also 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will take place in Girard City Cemetery.
