NEWTON FALLS - Albert Anthony Jurisch, 86, of Newton Falls, passed into eternal life at 2:56 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital of natural causes.
Albert was born Feb. 4, 1927, in Cleveland, the son of Ferdinano and Ada Muyitz Jurisch.
Albert married the love of his life, Mary Margaret Karczewski on Sept. 14, 1951, and they enjoyed 62 years of blessed marriage together.
Albert had lived in Newton Falls for the past seven years, formerly of Braceville. He worked as a spray painter for Ohio Corrugating Company for 30 years before retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the U.S. Air Force, Braceville United Methodist Church and the American Legion.
Albert enjoyed weekends at his cottage in Lake Milton, watching the Cleveland Indians and Ohio State, bowling, fishing and gambling, but most of all, spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Albert was known for always greeting you with a smile.
Memories of Albert will be carried on by his loving family: his wife, Mary; his daughter and her companion, Karen Jurisch and Howard Vayner of Newton Falls; his son and his wife, Alan and Joyce Jurisch of Newton Falls; his grandsons and their wives, Shawn and Kelley Jurisch, and Chad and Jen Jurisch; his great-grandchildren, Madison, Elijah, Ava and Katelyn.
Albert was preceeded in death by two sisters, Ann Armstrong and Wilma Richar; and a brother, Fred.
Calling hours will be held 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls.
Funeral services will immediately follow at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m.
Albert will be laid to rest at Braceville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made as donations to the Braceville United Methodist Church.
