CLEVELAND HEIGHTS 65, WARREN G. HARDING 52: CLEVELAND HEIGHTS - The Raiders led at halftime, but a strong second half by the Tigers led to a conference loss for Harding.
Harding (6-4, 3-3) had the 25-22 lead at half, but were outscored 43-27 in the second half.
Only four Raiders scored on the night. Shondell Jackson led the Raiders with 25 points. Anthony Bell chipped in 19.
NEWTON FALLS 57, STRUTHERS 49: STRUTHERS - Struthers tried to rally in the second half, but the Newton Falls' lead was too large, giving the Tigers the victory on Tuesday night.
The Tigers (6-5) were able to jump to a 28-12 lead with the help of 14 first-half points from Ozzie Hawkins. The senior finished the night with a game-high 26.
Ray'Quan Phifer and Andrew Carbon each scored 10 to pace Struthers.
AUSTINTOWN FITCH 66, LAKEVIEW 51: CORTLAND - Lakeview got off to a slow start and was never able to rebound in a loss to Austintown Fitch.
The Bulldogs were limited to two points in the first quarter. However, Lakeview had a great night from the field, shooting 54 percent. Jake Pishotti paced the Bulldogs (3-8) with 10 points.
Jessie Driver led Austintown Fitch (7-1) with 17.
HUBBARD 62, CHAMPION 54: HUBBARD - The Golden Flashes had the lead after the first quarter, but Hubbard rallied in the second quarter and held on for the non-conference victory.
Ten players scored for Hubbard. Leading the way was Brennan Wassil with 14.
Three players scored in double figures for Champion. Lucas Nasonti led the way with 17 points, followed by 16 from Michael Turner and 10 from Chris Miller.
POLAND 77, JEFFERSON 42: JEFFERSON - Poland jumped to a big lead and cruised past Jefferson in a non-conference matchup.
The Bulldogs shot nearly 50 percent from the field, 30 of 61. Steven Andrews led Poland with 13 points.
Poland is 8-2, while Jefferson fell to 7-5.
GRAND VALLEY 46, LEDGEMONT 45: ORWELL - A big fourth quarter led Grand Valley to the comeback victory over Ledgemont in a Northeastern Athletic Conference matchup.
The Mustangs trailed, 40-30 going into the fourth quarter. However, Grand Valley outscored the Redskins 16-5 to get the win and improve its record to 3-7.
Jake Vormelker led Grand Valley with 23 points.
CANFIELD 64, ALLIANCE 54: ALLIANCE - Canfield stormed out to an early lead and held on to earn a big non-conference win over previously undefeated Alliance.
Canfield (8-2) secured a 29-18 halftime advantage over the Aviators (8-1), who came in ranked 13th in The Associated Press high school state poll in Division II. Alliance cut the lead to four in the fourth quarter, but the Cardinals made some key shots and hit 11 of 17 from the free-throw line in the final quarter to pull away.
Jarret Vrabel paced the Cardinals with game-high 22 points, while Brady Clark added 15.
Parrish Martin was the only Aviator in double digits with 10.
CAMPBELL 62, BROOKFIELD 57, OT: CAMPBELL - Cam Collins scored five of his seven points in overtime to help Campbell pull away from Brookfield in a non-conference affair.
A balanced scoring attack by the Red Devils hurt Brookfield in OT. Campbell had four players score in the extra session, while the Warriors got contributions from two. Aaron Jackson led the Red Devils with 15, while Mike Williams added 12 and George Billiris 10.
Jamar Tarver of Brookfield led all scorers with 16 points. The Warriors erased a six-point, fourth-quarter deficit to tie the game.
LIBERTY 73, SALEM 67: LIBERTY - Asim Pleas scored 30 points to lead the Leopards past Salem in a non-conference matchup.
Liberty (7-4) didn't pull away in this high-scoring affair until the fourth quarter. The Leopards held a 54-51 lead entering the final 8 minutes and edged the Quakers, 19-16, to secure the victory.
Lynn Bowden and Cameron Clark scored 15 each for Liberty.
WINDHAM 57, GARFIELD 41: WINDHAM - Windham's fast start and balanced attack pushed it past Garfield in a non-conference clash.
Four players scored in double figures for the Bombers, led by Jared Taylor's 16 points. Parker Rickey nearly notched a double-double with 15 points and nine boards, and Stephen Kacenski also registered 15 points. Brad Kowalski rounded out the foursome with 12 points. The Bombers led 29-16 at halftime, and despite a rally by Garfield to cut the lead to seven, Windham pulled away in the fourth.
Anthony Workman scored a team-high 14 for the G-Men.
MATHEWS 74, CHALKER 44: VIENNA - Wyatt Ford recorded a double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds and was a big part of a dominating first quarter that helped Mathews roll past the Wildcats in a NAC showdown.
Mathews (5-6, 3-3) went on a 20-4 run to start the game and never trailed. Ford registered nine of his game-high 20 points in the period. Cobie Pratt added eight of his 12 in the first half. He also dished out a team-high six assists.
BADGER 74, BLOOMFIELD 25: KINSMAN - Badger led 20-0 and cruised to a NAC victory over Bloomfield.
Badger (4-7, 2-5) led 49-8 by halftime. Joe Gorospe scored nine of his game-high 19 in the first quarter, and Brandon Bates recorded eight of his 12 in the second frame.
Cody Turner paced the Cardinals with seven.
MINERAL RIDGE 59, SEBRING 44: MINERAL RIDGE - Ryan Nutter had 13 of the Rams' 19 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 26-point night.
Corey Phillips added 10 for Mineral Ridge (6-4, 4-3 Inter Tri-County League, Division II), which plays at McDonald on Friday.
Joe Davis led Sebring with 19 points.
CARDINAL MOONEY 55, YOUNGSTOWN CHRISTIAN 35: YOUNGSTOWN - Joe Cunningham had 14 points to lead the Cardinals past the Eagles.
Robert Thompson led Youngstown Christian with nine points.
