NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE HELPS CHILDREN: The HandsOn Volunteer Network is taking part in projects on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday as part of National Day of Service. Locally, the third annual WriteOn school supply drive collecting supplies for kindergarten to eighth grade will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday at HandsOn Volunteer Network, 5500 Market St., Suite 110, Youngstown, or 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Girard Multigenerational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave. Volunteers are needed to sort supplies on Monday and deliver them to local schools on Tuesday.
