WARREN - Edward John Sersich Jr., 70, of Warren, died at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 28, 1943, in Warren, the son of the late Edward J. and Esther Marie Mendenhall Sersich Sr.
Ed was an honorably discharged U.S. Marine veteran.

Mr. Sersich retired from Lordstown GM after 32 years of service as a dingman.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and going to flea markets.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, the former Gloria Correllus, whom he married on Dec. 14, 1963; his children, Walter W. (Mindy) McConnell of Cortland, Edward J. (Traci) Sersich III of Leavittsburg, Geralyn A. (Bradley) McIntyre of Champion, Dallas C. (Michael) Clawson of Columbus and Esther T. Sersich-Pelayo of Warren; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Edward is also survived by his four sisters, Katherine M. Ohl of Middlefield, Carol A. Sersich of Niles, Patricia J. Sersich of Atwater and Holly L. (Keith) Walsh of McDonald.
Other than his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his brother, John Edward Sersich.
The family wishes to thank the MVI nurses and the Hope Center in Howland for the care that they showed Ed.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive N.E., Warren, where Pastor Jack L. Ruble will celebrate Edward's life. Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and also again from 1 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
