Tribune Chronicle |

NEWTON FALLS -- More than 100 customers in the Newton Falls / Braceville area lost power tonight after a car crashed into a utility pole about 6:30 p.m. on state Route 5 near state Route 534.

Ohio Edison spokesman David Turner said the company was working quickly to transfer and restore power to at least 100 customers within two hours of the crash.

The remaining customers would be without power for an additional minimum of three hours until the utility pole was replaced and power transferred.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was still on the scene of the accident. Information about the crash including injuries was not yet available. More will be posted as it comes available.
