Tribune Chronicle |

WARREN-- Police were called to both sides of the city for burglaries Monday night.

About 10 p.m. police responded to 2085 Bonnie Brae Ave. where a burglary occurred. The boyfriend of the homeowner went to search for the suspect, who was seen hopping a fence and heading into a wooded area.

Police joined the search with a K-9 and looked for the suspect in a nearby mobile home park to no avail. Police were unaware of what, if anything, had been taken from the residence.

About 10:40 p.m., police responded to a second burglary around the 700 block of Delaware Avenue. Police said three people broke into a residence and a weapon was brandished.

According to scanner traffic, a woman at the residence said three individuals in ski masks arrived at the door. She said they threatened her and her fiance at gunpoint before hitting her fiance on the head with a gun and robbing them.

Police were on the scene of both burglaries late Monday.
