Two former "American Idol" contestants will perform Saturday at Stambaugh Auditorium for a Monday Musical Club concert.
Lee DeWyze won the ninth season of the FOX reality series, and his post-Idol album, "Live It Up," was released in 2010 on RCA Records. DeWyze's album was released in the final year of RCA's partnership with 19 Entertainment, producers of the television show. He was dropped by RCA after lackluster sales.
DeWyze then signed with Vanguard Records, which released his latest album, "Frames," in August. DeWyze has described the album as a return to the kind of music he's always loved with a folk-based acoustic sound closer to his independent releases pre-''Idol."
Lee DeWyze performs Saturday at Stambaugh Auditorium as part of the Monday Musical Club’s 2013-14 season.
Also performing Saturday will be Casey Abrams, who finished sixth during season 10. His self-titled debut album was released last year on Concord Records.
The concert starts at 8 p.m. Saturday at Stambaugh, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are $44, $39 and $29 and are available by calling 330-743-2717 and online at www.mmctickets.com.
