YOUNGSTOWN - Paul J. "Butch" Barto Jr., 66, of the city's west side, died Thursday afternoon, Dec. 12, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
He was born June 14, 1947, in Youngstown, the son of Paul J. "Chip" Sr. and Kathryn Kacenga Barto.
Paul served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He worked at the General Motors Lordstown Plant and for U.S. Steel at the McDonald Works. He also was the owner and operator of Barto Auto Sales and Barto Trucking.
Paul was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Holy Name of Jesus Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Star Lee Hunt-Johnson of Youngstown; four grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Lipkovich of Austintown and Kathy Elliott of Canfield; and a brother, Dennis Barto of Austintown.
Family and friends may call 4 to 6:30 p.m. today at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown, where a memorial service will follow at 6:30 p.m.
