WARREN - Charles Lee Faler, 64, of Warren, formerly of Heavener, Okla., died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at his home.
He was born July 21, 1949, in Warren, a son of the late Lawrence and Ramona Gauntt Faler.
He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding and was employed as a chef at Carl Albert College for many years. He loved cooking and only retired due to health reasons.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam.
Charles was a member of Warren Moose Lodge 186 and Warren VFW Post #1090 and a life member of AMVETS.
He loved the lake behind his house, feeding the swans and ducks. He had a love for fishing and loved his dog. He enjoyed traveling, concerts and had a lot of love for the people in his life. Chuck had a Mickey Mouse collection that he was very proud of.
He is survived by his sister, Odetta (Ronnie) Weber of Warren; a brother, Edward (Marlene Mohn) Faler of Girard; nephews Tim Faler Jr., Jerry Boyce and Jason Weber; nieces Chrissy Weber, Tessa (Mike) Parker, Nicole Stout, Shannon (Travis) Holliday and Darla (Scott) Sotak; and also many grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Timothy Faler; and his dog, Sid.
Services will be held 6 p.m. Friday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Woody Cavender will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Champion Township Cemetery, Champion.
