WARREN - Pauline Bernice Eddie, 84, passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, of natural causes at Peggy Feathers Adult Care.
She was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of the late Paul and Alma Miller Almburg. The family moved to their farm in Pricetown in 1936. Pauline graduated in 1947 from Newton Falls High School and then in 1952 from Kent State University. She taught third grade at Tod Avenue School in Warren until the 1952-53 school year.
Pauline married her husband of 60 years, Ralph Merlin Eddie, June 20, 1953, after he was discharged from the U.S. Army.
Pauline was a member of the First Federated Church in North Jackson and the Womens Farm Bureau. She was a daycare teacher in Leavittsburg and also worked at Mary O' helping children with learning disabilities.
Pauline liked cooking and going for walks in the woods with her dog.
Memories of Pauline will be carried on by her loving family: her two daughters, Cheryl (Allen) Deibel of Canfield and Dr. Dianne Eddie of Lordstown; her two sons, Curtis (Pam) Eddie of Newton Falls and Martin (Teresa) Eddie of Newton Falls; her six grandchildren, Allen and Aura Deibel, Kyle and Ryan Eddie, and Christopher and Amanda Eddie; and her four great-grandchildren, Caine, Lance, Brayden and Dylan.
Pauline was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon Almburg.
Calling hours will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Acri officiating the service.
