The next president of the United States, Chris Christie, weighs more than 300 pounds. The next president of the United States, Hillary Clinton, has always had huge hips which her tailor cleverly hides.
America has an obesity problem. Warren has an obesity problem. I have an obesity problem. Doctors give me two blood sugar pills and two pills for high blood pressure along with an 1,800-calorie diabetic diet menu.
The people at Duke University where my niece, Dr. Mackalaster Windom, is a resident in pediatrics do not believe that pills and menus are enough. They re-train their patients to eat more sensibly and exercise more frequently by placing them in a health spa where trained dietitians and nurses can monitor the patient's progress.
Obesity and diabetes are the curse of a land where every working man and woman can live the lifestyle of ancient royalty. The bad habit must be corrected.
I strongly recommend that one of the hospital systems in the Warren area set up a type II diabetes spa where the obese can make critical life-saving lifestyle changes. I am certain that I am not the first to suggest this solution to this dire problem. Hopefully in the coming years we will find the funding to support such clinics.
