I would like to acknowledge and thank the gentleman who had an encounter with my 3-year-old grandson on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Dollar General in Newton Falls.
It is my understanding that they had a conversation about Santa coming and other topics.
My grandson and his mama were checking out with popcorn and a movie and this gentleman asked my grandson if he loved popcorn. My grandson answered, "Yes, it is most delicious."
The gentleman laughed and proceeded to buy him a tin of popcorn (with Santa on the container) because "he loved popcorn so much that Santa told him to buy it for him."
Sir, you have no idea what your simple gesture did for my grandson and his mama. You were a light of goodness and grace that will long be remembered.
Thank you for seeing and acknowledging what a very special little boy my grandson is and for reaffirming that there are still very good and kind people in this world doing random acts of kindness. May you and your loved ones have a very blessed Christmas.
