Thu., 12:15pm: educational service center receives $300,000 grant

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mahoning County Educational Service Center has received the Maternal and Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation grant worth more than $300,000.

The grant will provide home visits to any Mahoning County resident who is pregnant or has a child up to age five. Kim Johnson, Infant and Toddler Supervisor, says "The staff conducting the home visits are trained in the Growing Great Kid's curriculum and will be doing health and development screenings."
