YOUNGSTOWN -- Elton John returns to the Covelli Centre for a concert onFeb. 1.
The show is billed as "All the Hits" and will feature "iconic hits and classic album tracks from throughout his incredible five-decade career, as well as a selection of new songs" from his September release "The Diving Board," according to a press release.
John last played the venue on May 1, 2010, and the concert still is the fastest sellout in the history of the venue.
Eric Ryan, general manager of the Covelli Centre, says in the press release, "It is such an honor and a privilege to have Elton John return to the Covelli Centre and downtown Youngstown. Sir Elton John holds the all-time concert record here at the Covelli Centre and to have him back is truly amazing for our community."
Tickets are $136, $76 and $26 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, through Ticketmaster.
To accommodate the concert, the Toughest Monster Truck Tour, originally set for Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, will be rescheduled. Ticket holders can get refunds at the point of purchase.
