WARREN - Darrel Lee Villers of Warren, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, with his loving family at his side.
Darrel was born Jan. 6, 1930, in Leavittsburg, the son of Bruce and Cecil Myers Villers.
Darrel married Marcella Mae Spade on Dec. 29, 1950.
He was a graduate of Leavittsburg High School, and was employed as custodian at Warren First Assembly of God Church, retiring in 1995. He formerly worked for Halsey Taylor and then ITT Grinnell Corporation.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.
Darrel was a member of Warren First Assembly of God Church, where he sang in the choir and was the Sunday School treasurer for many years. He enjoyed singing duets with his wife in church, hunting, gardening, working on automobiles with his sons and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Monte (Lynne) Villers of Bristolville, and Lee (Susan) Villers of Lordstown; and his two grandchildren, Aubree and Andrew Villers, of Bristolville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Laurabelle Freer.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, at the Warren First Assembly of God Church, where the Rev. Derek Boivin will officiate.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery in Leavittsburg.
The family would especially like to thank Nicci R. at Windsor House in Champion, for her kindness and care that she gave to Darrel. It meant a lot to his family.
The family requests that material contributions be made to Warren First Assembly of God Church, 2640 Parkman Road N.W., Warren, in his memory.
