SOUTHINGTON - Carol Lee Riley, 63, of Southington, died Sunday morning, Nov. 24, 2013, at her home.
She was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Ravenna, the daughter of Lewis Bernard and Iva Gay King Miller. She was raised in Windham and has lived in Trumbull County for many years.
Carol was a 1968 graduate of Windham High School.
She worked for 10 years at Packard Electric Corp. and then was the co-owner and operator of The Gables Restaurant in Southington for 22 years.
She was a member of the Church of Christ on Parkman Road.
She enjoyed quilting and vegetable gardening and canning. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and her family.
Carol is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years, Patrick J. Riley, whom she married Feb. 11, 1980; one daughter, Jessica D. (Alan) Watson of Rome, Ohio; her stepchildren, Lt. Col. Christine R. (Dr. Jeff, DVM) Berberick, USAF, in Wichita Falls, Kan., and Patrick J. Riley Jr. of Warren; four grandchildren, Jesslyn and Nick Watson and Jordyn and Jamie Berberick; one brother, John (Carol) Miller of North Canton; and two sisters, Jane (Larry) Dutter of Windham and Anne (David) Chidester of Morgantown, W.Va.
One sister, Jean Moore, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel in Warren.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parkman Road Church of Christ, 4705 Parkman Road N.W. in Warren, with Pete Nash officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512.
