HOWLAND - The high school will be closed Monday as a result of a broken second-floor bathroom water fixture that allowed water to overflow from the second floor, onto the first floor and then into the basement.
The flooding was discovered shortly after 11 a.m. today.
Although calling the damage to the school building minor, Superintendent John Sheets said the high school will be closed today so district employees can survey the extent of work that needs to be done to get the flooded areas back to normal and to allow them to clean the area.
Sheets expects the high school to reopen Tuesday.
There is no estimate to the cost of the damage.
