I was wondering why the gas and oil boom in Trumbull County has not filtered down to the local citizens in the way of increased gas lines so we the citizens can take advantage of the gas the companies are removing from the area. Many rural areas are without gas lines and must rely on oil, electric or lp gas which all cost more. I would like to see some of the profits and taxes spent to help subsidize pipelines so natural gas can be an affordable option for people living in our county.
I am glad for the new jobs, but being on a fixed income I believe inflation will rise faster in the area, and I will have less expendable income. Why do we send our natural gas everywhere but here in the rural part of the county? Also, I would like to know if compressed natural gas is feasible to heat homes with because they sure want to use it for all of the vehicles that would want it.
