WARREN - Police confirmed that another shooting occurred in the city Saturday night.
Officers were called about 6:40 p.m. to the intersection of Parkman and Palmyra roads S.W., where one man was apparently shot in the shoulder, according to reports.
One person is in custody, according to unconfirmed reports.
Police declined to discuss any details of the case - including names of victims or suspects, injuries or arrests - stating that the shooting still is under investigation.
It was at least the fourth person shot in the city in three weeks.
On Oct. 19, Taemarr Walker, 24, of Warren, was shot to death in a confrontation with police. Reports state that he was on his way to ''shoot up'' a local bar.
One week later, Oct. 26, two men broke up a private party at the J&L Lounge in Warren Township, claiming people were celebrating Walker's death. Gunshots were fired before the shooters and at least one other person drove into the city.
A few minutes later, Richard C. Rollison IV, 24, was fatally wounded at the Sunoco service station on West Market Street.
Tashawn Walker of Baytown, Texas, who had come to town for his brother Taemarr Walker's funeral, was arrested in Texas and charged with Rollison's murder. Walker is facing 15 years to life in prison and a fine of $15,000 to $50,000 if convicted. His preliminary hearing in municipal court is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. Nov. 15.
No one has been charged in the Warren Township shooting, though police claim Tashawn Walker was one of the two men.
On Nov. 6, Robert L. Holt Jr., 28, of 1494 Hamilton St. S.W, was shot in the back near his home. Police were searching for two suspects described as white males around the ages of 18 or 19. Their names were not released. At last report, arrests had not been made.
Police said the case did not appear to be related to the October shootings.
