WARREN -- Two men believed to be involved in a shooting on Warren's southwest side Tuesday evening remain at large, according to police.
The victim, a 24-year-old white man, was wounded by gunfire about 9:30 p.m. near the corner of Hamilton Street S.W. and York Avenue S.W. After being struck by gunfire, the man ran the distance of about three houses before he collapsed in a yard. Police did not release details about about the extent of his injuries. They also declined to release his identity immediately.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Trumbull Memorial Hospital where he remained late Tuesday.
Police were searching for two suspects who were seen running from the house. Officers responded to the scene where they were questioning possible witnesses and also responded to the hospital with the victim.
The suspects initially were described as two white males about 18 or 19 years old. Police said no one has been arrested.
Police said the shooting is not believed to be related to other recent violence in the city.
