BROOKFIELD - Jessica L. Scott-Ostrode, 33, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.
She was born Jan. 15, 1980, in Warren, the daughter of John A. and Sandra L. Swann Scott.
Jessica was a 1998 graduate of Mathews High School and went on to further her education at Youngstown State University, where she graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in food and nutrition.
Jessica was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, and enjoyed watching the Ohio State Buckeyes whenever she could. She loved reading, playing cards, watching horse racing at Mountaineer, but above all spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves behind her husband, Rob, whom she married July 2, 2005; her parents, John and Sandra Scott of Vienna; a sister, Jacqueline (Justin) Staats of Nucla, Colo.; her father and mother-in-law, L. Robert and Susan Ostrode; brothers-in-law, Michael (Jana) Ostrode and Brandon (Rebekah) Ostrode, and sister-in-law, Amanda (Randy) Bump, all of Cortland; nieces, Dakota Staats and Lily Miller; and by her nephew, Dawson Staats.
Mrs. Ostrode was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dwight and Guyla Scott, and Charles and Dorothy Swann.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Madasz Chapel of Lane Family Funeral Homes, 6923 Warren Sharon Road, Brookfield. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Frank Czako officiating.
Burial will follow in the Vienna Township Cemetery.
