WARREN A fight with shots fired that began early this morning at a Warren Township bar over a man killed last week ended in the city with at least one man wounded by gunfire.
City police have yet to release any information, including who was wounded and extent of injuries.
Warren Township police Chief Don Bishop said that in the township, a private party was being held at the J&L Lounge, 1957 Highland Ave. S.W., when two men walked in and accused the people of celebrating the death of Taemarr Walker. Walker was shot to death a week ago this morning in a confrontation with city police.
A fight began inside the bar, spilled outside, and shots were fired before the shooters and others involved took off toward West Market Street into the city, Bishop said.
Police this morning found six .45-caliber casings in the parking lot, but did not find where any of the shots struck the building, he said.
Township police are seeking two people identified as relatives of Walker in connection with the bar disturbance and shootings there, Bishop said.
More information will be posted as it becomes available. A fuller story will be in Sunday's Tribune Chronicle.
