PAMONA, Calif. - Lucian "Lou" Marchio, 75, formerly of Warren, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, in California. He had been ill with heart and pulmonary problems.
He was born Aug. 15, 1938, in Martins Ferry, the son of Alfonso and Sara DeMarco Marchio.
Lou retired from the Pomona Valley Sheltered Workshop. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Rae Marchio of Pomona; a daughter, Gina Purcell; three stepsons, Todd, John and Tom, and one stepdaughter, Dawn, all of California; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rita Tura of Warren and Clara Racz of Niles.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will take place 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5 at the Todd Memorial Chapel in Pomona, Calif. Family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service.
A private burial will be held in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, where there will be a 21-gun salute in his honor.
