NEWTON FALLS - Judith Ann Goehring, 74, of Newton Falls entered into rest on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Vista Care at the Ridge in Mineral Ridge.
Judith was born on Aug. 15, 1939 in LaFollette, Tenn., the daughter of Elbert B. and Laura Lyons O'Neal. The family relocated to this area in 1942.
On May 29, 1957, Judith graduated from the Newton Falls High School and four years later on June 10, 1961, she received her bachelor of science degree from Kent State University.
Shortly after completing her education, Judith and Paul E. Goehring were united in marriage on July 15, 1961, in the First Christian Church in Newton Falls. The family grew to include their two sons, Dennis and Dan.
Judith began her teaching career in elementary education in the Howland school system. After three years, she then accepted a position with the Newton Falls school system from where she retired after 26 years of service.
Memories of Judith will be carried on by her family, her sons, Dr. Dennis (Lori) Goehring and Dan (Rochelle) Goehring; her grandchildren, Leah, Alexa, Ian, Ashley and Nick; her nieces, Christina (George) Sipka, Shannon O'Neal and Shelley (Chris) Goussios; and her brother, Gary O'Neal.
Preceding Judith were her husband, Paul; her parents, Elbert and Laura; and her brother, Stanley.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Borowski Memorial Home, where a service will be held at 11 a.m with Rev. Calvin Mason officiating.
Judith will be laid to rest in the Newton Township Cemetery in Newton Falls.
