Lakeview Madrigal dinners celebrate 30 years
Tickets are on sale now for Lakeview High School's Madrigal Feast and Concert, celebrating its 30th anniversary.
The high school cafeteria is transformed into a medieval castle for a dinner catered by DiLucia's and entertainment by the Lakeview High School Madrigal and Advanced Women's Choirs.
Performances are scheduled at 7 p.m. Dec. 6-7 and 5 p.m. Dec. 8. Tickets are $20 and can be ordered by calling 330-881-4834.
YSU club has Gatsby party
The Youngstown State University Ballroom Dance Club will have a "Gatsby" party from 7 to 10 p.m. today at Kuzmans, 1025 S. State St., Girard.
The evening will feature dancing to favorite swing, Latin and ballroom music as well as some Charleston fun.

Ceramics shown at Bliss Gallery
The exhibition "Current Clay" opens Monday at Youngstown State University's Bliss Gallery.
This collection of ceramic artwork has been created by YSU students taking ceramic art courses taught by Missy McCormick. The work includes unique and innovative solutions to project assignments as well as an experimental collaborative assignment. All of the work has been made in the last year.
The show runs through Nov. 8. A reception is planned from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in the gallery. For more information, call 330-941-3701.
Youth theater presents 'Sleepy Hollow'
The After School Players will stage "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" for three performances at the Garage Theater, 7206 Market St., Boardman.
The cast includes Johnny George, Brady Bizon, Sophie Salupo, Sarah Meade, Michael Appugliese, Chloe Housteau, Clark Hergenrother, Paige Brockway, Megan Brockway, D'Ella Heschmeyer, Aubri Ezzo, Millie Heschmeyer and Allie Sayhoun.

Chorus plans racing fundraiser
The Stambaugh Chorus, billing itself as the Stamb-BOO Chorus for Halloween, will have a Night at the Races fundraiser Friday in the ballroom at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.
The event also will feature a costume contest, basket raffle, 50/50 raffle and a variety of games and sing-alongs.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with dinner provided by Scarsella's at 6:30 p.m. and the races at 7 p.m. Admission is $15. For tickets or more information, call 330-509-9775.
Dana orchestra plays Stambaugh
The Dana Symphony Orchestra will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown.
Director John Wilcox will lead the orchestra in a program featuring Overture to "The Bartered Bride" by Bedrich Smetana, three Slavonic Dances (Op. 46, Nos. 1-3) by Antonin Dvorak, Smetana's "Moldau," Sir Edward Elgar's "Enigma" - Variations (OP. 36) and Silvestre Revueltas' "Sensemaya."

Light talks Stones for Rock Hall
Alan Light, former editor in chief of Spin and Vibe magazines, will deliver the keynote lecture tonight at Case Western Reserve University for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's American Music Masters tribute to the Rolling Stones.
Light, a frequent contributor to the New York Times and Rolling Stone, is the author of "The Holy or the Broken: Leonard Cohen" and "Jeff Buckley and the Unlikely Ascent of 'Hallelujah.'"
The lecture starts at 7 p.m. in Ford Auditorium, 11000 Euclid Ave., Cleveland. Admission is free and seating is general admission.
