HUBBARD -- Police have issued an arrest warrant for a North Bloomfield woman charged in connection with the theft of a jar of money collected for a local Make-A-Wish event earlier this month.

According to updates on the police department's Facebook page, Catherine Gabrovsek, 20, is wanted in the Oct. 8 theft of the Make-A-Wish collection jar from the Shop and Save. Police charged her with theft, obeying traffic control devices and reckless operation.

Reports state Gabrovsek walked into the store on N. Main Street around 6:40 p.m. and took the jar from the counter.

Police asked for the public's help in identifying the woman captured on surveillance video. Based on that and witness accounts police said they were able to make a positive identification.

The money in the jar was to be used to help fund the Oct. 15 Rick-Mack Giving Back fundraiser that was held at the Downtown Cafe.
