GREENVILLE, Pa. - Cheryl L. Vogan, 69, of 1000 Hilltop Road, West Salem Township, Greenville, Pa., passed away at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born in Warren on July 14, 1944, to James B. and Margaret Elser.
She was a 1962 graduate of Champion High School and had taken many computer classes at Penn State University, Shenango Valley Campus. She had been employed as a computer administrator for 23 years at Trumbull Community Action Program (TCAP).
She was a devoted Christian and was a member and past president of VFW Post 3374 Auxiliary, as well as being a member of the West Salem VFD Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons, Benjamin B. Elser of Greenville and Michael J. Miller of Fowler; her mother, Margaret Elser of New York; a sister, Kathy Jo Duncan of New York; three brothers, Randall Elser of Delaware, Darrel Elser of Kentucky and Rex Elser of South Carolina; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Edward Vogan, who preceded her in death in 1996, and John R. Miller, who preceded her in death in 1983.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, Pa., with Robert Elder, lay minister, officiating. There will be no calling hours.
