WARREN - Harry Herbert Rook Jr., 68, of Warren, passed away peacefully into eternal rest Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at University Hospital Case Western Medical Center in Cleveland.
He was born on April 8, 1945, in Youngstown, the son of the late Harry Herbert Rook Sr. and Ruth Louise McFadden Rook.
Harry married Patty Ann Pauley on April 5, 1971, and they enjoyed 42 years of wonderful marriage together.
Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving faithfully during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a steelworker at WCI in Warren for 32 years and retired in 2000.
Harry was a member of the Lake Milton Fish and Game Club. He also coached Little League and Pony League baseball in Newton Falls for many years, and he raised rabbits, pheasant and ducks. Harry loved to go hunting and fishing and Cleveland Indians baseball.
Memories of Harry will be carried on by his loving family of his wife, Patty Ann Rook of Warren; two daughters, Valerie (Doug) Sutton of Salem and Kimberly Rook (fiance Jim Jeffries) of Canton; two sons, Harry (Pete) Rook of Lordstown and Jonathan Rook of Lordstown; three sisters, Joyce (Howard) Moore of North Jackson, Carol Rook and Judy Davis; four grandchildren, Jennah, Hayden, Jerrod and Macalah; and one great-grandchild.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Spurlock officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
