Formerly known as Tuesday Tunes, Howland Township has revamped its concert program now known as East Market Music.
''We had music in the park a few years ago at Howland Park but now it will be at Richard Orwig Park near the gazebo,'' said Matt Madgar, summer special events coordinator intern.
According to Madgar, the township will experiment with a couple concerts this year and will continue next season with a full season of East Market Music.
The concerts will be held Aug. 21, featuring Guys Without Ties and Sept. 11 with Testify, a Stevie Ray Vaughn tribute band. A vendor will be invited to set up in the park at each event. The Aug. 21 vendor will be John Vlahros Original Gyros.
The concert will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There is no seating available and those attending should bring lawn chairs.
''We're trying to enable people to come out after a long, hard day at work or school and enjoy some music and dinner,'' Madgar said.
