Thu., 7:01am: Canadian company considers Lordstown for a $70 million project

October 10, 2013
Tribune Chronicle |

LORDSTOWN -- If Matalco Inc., of Canada selects the Ohio Commerce Park in Lordstown as the site of its expansion into the U.S., it would result in about 60 jobs with a payroll of about $4 million annually in a $70 million facility.

The Tribune Chronicle first reported in its print edition earlier this week that Village Council approved a tax abatement for Matalco's Aluminum Remelt Extrusion, a condition of the company choosing Lordstown.

Matalco has not said when it would select a location.
