Fri. 3:15pm: Feds probe Warren truck explosion

October 4, 2013
Tribune Chronicle |

WARREN - Federal agents were helping local police and firefighters investigate the origin of an explosive device that blew the windows out of a pickup truck parked along side the Summit Lounge early today.

No damage was reported to the bar, but shards of glass were thrown at least 75 feet from the blast about 4:15 a.m.

Warren police identified the owner of the damaged silver 2000 Dodge Dakota truck as Robert Barker, 41, 764 Summit St. N.W., who said he and his girlfriend heard what sounded like a gun shot.

Barker lives next door to the Summit Lounge and the vehicle was parked in the eastern most, front portion of the lot, beneath a support for a billboard.
