JAMESTOWN, Pa. - Christopher F. Santell, 30, of 251 W. Marley Road, Greene Township, Jamestown, Pa., passed away unexpectedly at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at UPMC Horizon Greenville after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born, in Youngstown, on June 20, 1983, to Benedict P. and Joyce L. Ginson Santell.
He was a 2002 graduate of Jamestown High School, where he participated in many of the school plays. He had attended Youngstown State University and was currently enrolled in online classes at Bellevue University, where he was scheduled to graduate in May of 2014 with a degree in human resources.
He had currently been employed for the past five years at Home Depot in Hermitage and previously had worked at Dick's Sporting Goods, Niles.
He was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Jamestown, and he enjoyed eating out and going to the movies with his friends. In addition, he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by his parents of Jamestown, and a brother, David P. Santell, stationed in Germany with the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leslie and Maxine Ginson, and his paternal grandparents, John and Helen Santell.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. V. David Foradori, pastor of St. Michael's, as celebrant. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, Pa.
Burial with committal in St. Michael Cemetery.
