WARREN - Verona E. Chasser, 97, of Warren, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at her residence.
She was born May 12, 1916, in Bristol, a daughter of Ivan and Sopha Gale Coons.
She was employed as a concession manager of the Howland Drive-In, and also worked at Servomation Corp.
Verona was a member of North-Mar Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, and also attended the North Bristol Christian Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Hulick of Champion, Janet (Patrick) O'Neal of Madison, Shelly (Scott) Wardlaw of Mesa, Ariz., Sonya (Michael) Sams of Howland and Pamela Smith of Warren; sons, Don (Karen) Chasser of Howland and Scott (Nova) Chasser of Niles; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Genevieve Mansfield of Bristolville and Veldren Farr of Warren; and brother, Kenard (Marlene) Coons of Monument, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William J. Chasser, who passed away in 1980; two sons, Bob and Daniel Chasser; two brothers, Kenneth and Keith Coons; and a sister, Vera Leeworthy.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where the Rev. Bill Stevens will officiate. Family and friends are kindly invited to visit from 4 p.m. until service time on Friday.
Verona will be laid to rest in Sager Memorial Cemetery, Bristolville.
