The Rust Belt Theater Company will present the 10th "Fundraising Is a Drag" event this weekend at the Calvin Center.
This year's event will be "drag pageant" themed. Local bartenders, athletes, business professionals and stage personalities will be given fabulous drag makeovers and be pitted against each other in fierce competition to see who comes out the Rust Belt's "Next Top Drag Queen." Contestants will include Jacob Harver, Terri MacSkimming, Joe Kale, P.J. Shmerchansky, Nicholas Forgac and Katelyn Bowden.
Cast members of Rust Belt's annual holiday production of "How The Drag Queen Stole Christmas" also will be on hand, including Kage Kraven, Jacqueline St. Porcupine, and Buff Melendrez Starr. They will perform and serve as pageant judges. The show will be hosted by Starrlet O'Hara.
