AMHERST - Cheryl Ann Musolf, 66, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Cheryl was born Dec. 27, 1946, in Warren, the daughter of Floyd W. and Ann Musolf.
She was a graduate of Youngstown State University with an associate degree and Youngstown College of Computers. Cheryl worked at Wean Engineering as a programmer, Youngstown State University as a programmer and systems analyst, Burrows Computers as a programmer and systems analyst, and Nordson Corp. as a programmer and systems analyst in charge of worldwide computer security. She was at one time the youngest female computer programmer in Ohio with an IQ of 164.
She was of the Roman Catholic faith. Cheryl belonged to AARP and Nordson Retirees, was an adviser to Amherst Safety Forces related to technical matters and had animal protective interests. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needle point, sewing, and computer games and activities.
Cheryl donated the gift of sight to the Cleveland Eye Bank.
She is survived by her brother, Wayne (Janice) Musolf of Warren; two nephews, Wade (Rachel Greathouse) Musolf and Michael Musolf; one great-nephew, Zaine Musolf; one great-niece, Kylie Musolf; and many cousins in the Bolino, Sprouse, DiLorenzo, Scarmuzzi and Musolf families.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-nephew, Jazper Musolf.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren, followed by a 7 p.m. service with the Rev. Jeffrey Stealy officiating.
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery, Niles.
