WARREN - A Braceville woman was sentenced to three years in prison Tuesday after pleading to home invasion charges and agreeing to testify against an accomplice in the case.
Gina Carmalita Little, 19, who lived in the same mobile home park where the break-in and robbery took place, pleaded guilty in June to aggravated burglary and aggravated robbery. She was sentenced by Judge Andrew Logan.
An agreed sentence spells out how Little, who also has an address in Akron, will help prosecutors in their case against Todd Smith, 35, who faces the same robbery and burglary charges along with felonious assault and a specification that he is a repeat violent offender, which could add an additional 10 years to any sentence.
Trumbull County Sheriff's detectives arrested the couple in March after they said the pair barged in on two men playing video games at 136 Westgate Drive in Arhaven Estates Mobile Home Park.
Detectives said Smith attacked Jamie L. Stein, 33, who was stabbed several times, and Tim Wagner who was treated briefly at a local hospital.
Stein was identified in reports as a neighbor of Wagner's, who lives in the mobile home with a brother, Albert, 35, who was not injured in the attack.
After forcing their way into the Wagner residence, Smith stabbed both men after demanding money, according to deputy reports.
Albert Wagner identified Smith as one of the attackers.
Deputies arrested Smith inside his trailer at 144 Westgate and found Little in a back room of the Wagners' mobile home.
