The musical "Blood Brothers" returns for six performances by Top Hat Productions.
The local theater company is bringing back four past shows as part of a "Fabulous Flashback" season to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
"Blood Brothers," written by Willy Russell is a contemporary, rags-to-riches tragedy of two mothers (played by Brandi Johantges and Julie Palumbo) and two sons (Bill Marr and Brian Palumbo) and tells the story of fraternal twins separated at birth. They grow up streets apart, become best friends and end up falling in love with the same girl, not knowing that they are related. As one brother prospers and the other fails, the story takes a dark turn and the narrator (Aaron Franek) reminds all "that a price has to be paid for separating twins."
The musical will be staged as a dinner-theater production Friday, Saturday and Sept. 27-28 and Oct. 4-5 at the Fairview Arts & Outreach Center, 4220 Youngstown-Poland Road, Youngstown. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $27.50 for adults and $25.50 for senior citizens. Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com and by calling 800-838-3006.
