YOUNGSTOWN -- Police on Sunday arrested a man they said was held up inside a Glacier Drive house for several hours.
Tribune Chronicle news partner WYTV reported that Youngstown police went to the house around noon in reference to shots being fired.
When they arrived at the house they found several people standing outside, according to reports. Reports state that witnesses said the man discharged a handgun inside the house, shooting at the floor. The people inside the house were able to leave and call police, according to reports.
City police and the Mahoning Valley Crisis Response Team were at the scene, surrounded the house and established communication with the suspect. A short time later he came out with his hands up.
The man was arrested and taken to Saint Elizabeth Health Center for an evaluation.
No injuries were reported.
