SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP -- A woman and her three children, including one infant, were injured in a crash Tuesday evening on State Line Road on the Ohio and Pennsylvania border just outside of Springfield Township and North Beaver.
A driver failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection and "T-boned" the driver's side of the womans minivan about 8 p.m., police said. The impact pushed the van into a front yard, according to WYTV 33 News.
The woman and at least one of the children were taken by helicopter to a local hospital, while the other children were transported by ambulance. The extent of their injuries was unknown Tuesday night.
The other driver was given field sobriety tests and was placed in handcuffs at the scene, according to reports.
Names of the victim and the person arrested were not released Tuesday night. The intersection was closed while the scene is being cleared.
