NEWTON FALLS - Janet Lee Lewis, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, following a sudden illness.
Janet was born June 30, 1943, in Youngstown, the daughter of Fred and Bertha Cook.
She married Alvin W. Lewis on Oct. 12, 1958, and has been a longtime resident of Newton Falls.
Janet was a member of Lakeview Assembly of God in Lake Milton and loved the Lord with all of her heart.
She loved to send cards for every occasion to the many people she loved. Janet enjoyed listening to music, playing cards, crocheting, spending time with her family and irritating Alvin.
The memory of Janet will be cherished by her husband of 55 years, Alvin of Newton Falls; her mother, Bertha Cook of Niles; her children, Richard Lewis of Niles, Roger (Carol) Lewis of Johnsburg, N.Y., Scott Lewis of Newton Falls, Jeffrey (Sunny) Lewis of Jenks, Okla., and Brenda (Brian) Levelle of Liberty; three siblings, Fred (Ann) Cook of Conover, N.C., Carol (George) Stofko of Poland and Dwight Cook of Niles; 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, Fred Cook.
Funeral services have been arranged by Borowski Funeral Home in Newton Falls and will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakeview Assembly of God, 17930 Mahoning Ave., Lake Milton.
Viewing will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral.
